I've been contemplating my navel since starting this thread and realised I'm fed up with my proper job :cry:Been doing it for 1/4 century and am getting a bit fed up with it .Too much stress and too long a wait for the rewards :laugh:
I'm much happier packing boxes and tending the vege patch these days :mart:

I work on these and boy do they need a lot of work to keep flying. About 10 manhours for every flight hour!

That's typical for a 'western world' military helicopter of that size (6 ton ish). Some need as much as 17 per flt hr!
Helicopters are very practical but, they are constantly trying to shake themselves apart, hence the heavy maintenance frequency.
