Any decent 3 door mk1 escort is worth what id call big money these days. As for the car being worth 20k+ no idea.

The bda lump thats in it is worth silly money on its own though. I seen a knackered one sell for a lot of money a while back.

Bit of a legendary engine in its day and the predecessor to the cosworth yb engines.was used in rally, touring cars and formula 2. used in the early rs200s too and known as the bdt turbo putting out up to 600bhp:agree:

:agree: the engines worth a mint car looks very clean , dont make cars like that no more.

the same engine was in either old lotus europa and or old toyota celica cant remember. mams husband didnt relise the value of the engine alone when did sold. years later worth a fortune . thinking its the old europa :scratch:
