Re: 30 years GT Turbo
I have indeed been in contact with xenon about this, well actually it was regarding sangliers 15, he then mentioned this, as Arthur said the frenchies are hard to get hold of:laugh: I then spoke to big steve as I didn't want to tread on anyones toes, I said that obviously we don't have to sleep in the same beds and we can all be cival, steve was fine when I met him at the retro show, ive now let xenon know about this and am waiting a reply but by the sounds of it this is going to be huge on a mahoosive scale and we should be involved but id just like to hear back from xenon with the go ahead before I announce it fully, if I don't hear something soon ill sort something
kind regard mick

Re: 30 years GT Turbo
A few of us went to 25yrs of the gtt at Lè chatre.
It was a total waste of time.
There were a load of cars in a field and a few on a little track and that was it.
My gtt engine blew a couple of weeks before the trip so I took my M3 and I'm glad I did, if is have done the journey in the gt I would have been pissed!
We actually left the "show" early and went to Disney land.
It was much better there. Lol
I don't want to put a downer on this but want people to be aware it might not be as good as you imagine.
I definitely would not go again.
-
Re: 30 years GT Turbo
all ill say is that if its as good as sangliers ill be very happy, it was the ultimate in shows ive ever been to and am promised its going to be even better, best to let people decide but i recon i can name 5/6 people who would go straight away easily, each to there own though matey
-
Re: 30 years GT Turbo
Totally agree mate, as I said I don't want to stop people going, just make them aware it may not be what they expect.
-
Re: 30 years GT Turbo

okey lads, it's about time to get something sorted!
this is the anouncement of the Frenchies:
30 years of the GT Turbo !!!
The Super 5 GT turbo club is pleased to organize a weekend to celebrate 30 years of the GT turbo. For this event, we will welcome over two days on 9 and 10 May 2015 in the department of Indre.

From 9:00 to 12:00, you will have the pleasure of turning on the circuit and others will have the pleasure to exhibit their vehicles.
From noon, the track of the circuit will be closed for up to 14 hours. During this time, we take the opportunity to restore us. (Meals everyone will have expected)
At 14 hours, the sessions will resume running up to 17 hours. A parade will be established last hour to close this beautiful circuit day.
On this day, a draw will be held a raffle and other events
From 18 hours, no more self shall run on the track We will meet at the campsite to discuss the good times of the day and settle.
At 20 pm, everyone will be in the village hall to start the evening with a good meal.
And we will finish our evening at the discretion of the music.
On May 10, 2015
The next day, we welcome you to the village hall for the breakfast.
And for the more adventurous, we offer a tour around at your own pace.

So obviously your free to choose what you like regarding track time, i don't think i'll be tracking but i'm sure there will be plenty to see and talk about during the day.
Also the drive on sunday would be great imo, a great way to enjoy the French landscape/roads!
I'm going to inform if camping on Friday is possible too so people can head in that direction Friday morning and stay for the night (if you guys are up for some camping/bbq/beer).
here's a little planning/suggestion from Turbo-renault might you people want to go in unison:

Re: 30 years GT Turbo
The proposition i made for the RTC is to meet up between Breda and Antwerp to convoy to La Chatre, however i noticed on our way we come near Calais so if we plan carefully we could drive in a big mofo convoy towards La Chatre :D
Now let's get those names up!

Re: 30 Years Of GT Turbo 09/10th May 2015
Marcel knows a hotel near La Chatre for €35p.p.p.n so not too bad, could be an option too but i prefer camping because of the atmosphere!
Other club is taking the eurotunnel i guess

Re: 30 Years Of GT Turbo 09/10th May 2015
Deadline for signing up is januari 15th
-
Re: 30 Years Of GT Turbo 09/10th May 2015
Could a mod mention the deadline in the title please?
I've had contact with the secretary again and things are slowly but surely becoming more clear. They sent me an Excel sheet so i'm able to fill out everyone's details on one form.
Everyone who will be tracking do have to make a copy of their drivers licence and fill out the legal form for tracktime. Also a passenger will have to pay €10 to go along on track but i have no idea wether this is tied to the person or the person with the car?
I'll inform you which details i need near the deadline so we can get this thing sorted.
Yours faithfully,
Arthur (Int. area rep)
