renault 19 16 chamade smell

hello,
i have recently bought a 19 chamade 16v, i am getting a strong smell of peterol when i push the engine. i cant see any obvious leaks in the engine bay or under the car and smell seems to go away when i take it easy. anyone any ideas where/what i should be looking at?
