Am i right in thinking the 19 16v has the same rear axle?
19 16v axle is wider , which means you will have to cut the arches or
stick with bike tires at the rear

Is that the same for all the 19 range?
What im really trying to find out is, i want to replace mine as its knackered and finding an 11 in a scrapyard is like finding a rainbow at night.

The whole back end of the car is sitting about 2 inches lower than it used to be.
I replaced the shocks but that made no difference.

they wouldn't.
If it's lowered itself the torsion bars will have sagged. I suppose that's possible, but it's also possible that the floor is rotten where the axle bolts on, and has collapsed. Have a good look at the mountings, bars etc.
