im having a few issues with my fuel gauge and wondered if people could shed some light on it.

my gauges show that im constantly low on fuel (flashing light on) even though well full.

some months ago i changed the fuel sender for one from a standard 5 in a scrappie. it is in a mint condition.

i have 10volts on the outside orange wire ontop of the sender,
the black wire is earth. well thats waht my meter is telling me.

any help?

Can you measure these values at the connector of the dashboard?
It seems to me that there is a short to GND somewhere.

Was it difficult to fit? Was it a case of just fitting all the sensors off the astra?

(sorry for the hijack)

Does the gtt sender work the same as the astra sender?

The fuel gauge on the digi dash is pants by the way, used to get on my nerves something chronic when i had my gte many years ago!

Did you need any other parts other then the dash unit itself?

How have you got the fuel sender connected to the digidash? When I wired one up in an old mini it just used an earth via the sender.

How did you connect the R5 speedo pickup and get it to give an accurate speed reading? I remember in my mini it said about 60mph when doing 30.
