Gearbox oil leak

When i leave the 5 stood for a few days i get a few drops of gearbox oil leak, It seems to be coming from back of gearbox where the speedo cable goes in, is it common to leak there?

The usual place by the driveshaft looks fine, where else could it be leaking from?

Also does anybody know if the drip tray that comes on the clio 16v gearboxs will fit onto a renault 5 gearbox?

Just remember that oil moves backwards when leaking if the vehicle is moving.

You should be able to tell if its the gearbox leaking as the smell of that oil is unholy. Like if robocop raped flipper. That kind of smell.

Definatly gearbox it stinks:disagree::( the smell will not come out of my overalls:wasntme:

I had another look ther car as not been drievn since i wiped the oil away and it still dripping from same place will try and get a picture.

anyone, wheres the common places for gearbox leaks?
