OK, a good guessing thread here. I met someone recently who was a well known club member back when we were Renault 5 GT Turbo Owners Club, so it's one for the older members! He now drives something...............mmmm how can I put it.................rather rapid, yet understated, classy and tasteful these days.............................oh and he carries guns. ;)

He misses the fun of the Old Skool 5 scene and asked me if I could keep him in the loop for the next Euro trip so he can meet some old faces.

Easy clue:

"It's a 5GTT, but not as we know it"

No, "the guns" are a reference to something else.

He was a member back in the mid-late 90's. Come on old boys. :coffee:

In one. :agree: Couldn't believe it was Stuart Beal I've been chatting to for over 2 years on-line! He and I never realsied we'd first met over 13 years ago! For those that don't/didn't know him, he had the Cosworth 4x4 running gear put under a 5 back in the day. Someone much more intellegent than me will post a picture from somewhere I'm sure.

Admit it Martin, you've been cruising cslregister.com :p :wasntme:

There's a few ex-R5GTT owners on there slowly coming out of the woodwork. At least 5 or 6 I know of now. :smokin:

Didn't he sign back up to RTOC a few years ago, when someone told him of his old "shell" in a scrapyard, and posted some pics?

While we're on the subject of old names in the gtt world, look who I've just noticed is selling an Evo 6 on the cheap:

I think he did Bill. He's looking forward to joining us on some events sometime.
