10 mins ago had a problem , snapped the little metal cable that controls the throttle :( gay, limped it back using clutch control and carefull use of the choke to raise the revs.

Problem is i tried to use a electrical connection block to fix it but i cant get it to be strong enough to hold :( any ideas as ive gota fix this tomorrow morning, is there any quick way of bypassing this all together and just connection the two with say some string/wire/cable tie

ok its a bit of a bodge but it'll work for a while.

Get an old household plug, take the top pin out and cut the cable clamp bit off with a hacksaw. Ues that to clamp the end of the cable.

Make sure that you adjust the cable clamp to ensure that when the throttle is fully open the pedal is to the floor and you are not pulling against your bodged clamp or it will keep popping off!! best way to do it is Put your pedal to the floor (put a brick on it to hold it down) then adjust the outer clamp to suit.

cheers for that info, do i need to extend my broken section of wire off the knuckle then as at the moment its snapped in the center so theres no cable to pull thru and clamp if that makes sence. Im thinking maybe a bike brake cable and a electricl blake to connection that onto the existing.
