prob with gearbox i think

i am havein a little prob with my car an not sure wat it is when i am driving along it has started to slip out of gear in second and forth has any body got any surgestions on how to fix it thanks

jumping out or slipping out of gear do the gears engage ok?
there used to be an artical on the old site about adjusting the gearlinkage
perhaps someone will post a link as this sounds like your problem
are your engine mounts ok?

it happens when i let off mainley it goes into the gears ok an i have already changed the gear box mount cause i thought it was that prob but thanks any way

sounds more like worn gearbox selector forks to me...

no, cos they inside the box.

oh well i do have a spare box but dont really want to change it over

yeah deffo selector forks they wear..or crack or break off completely in my usual case... need some steel ones made really but thats a job and half the bronze ones just arnt up the the job imo :)
