Nick k

Took both my cars to nat's day. Both on track.

R5 Cab - O/S drive shaft knocking big style on way home :D

R5 Campus - Both drive shafts exploded grease all over inside of alloys :)

Easy fix ;) All good.

5miles from home my passenger side front wheel bearing started to ake a noise, annoying as its only 2 months old, I guess R888's plus Mallory is a killer for bearings

My cam belt went on the 172 at about 110 mph. Not happy as I had sold the car on Ebay but had to cancel sale obviously.

i ripped the gear linkage arm out the gearbox grommit entering gerrards.
had enough momentum to scream it into the layby on the exit of gerrards.

hats off to the pit crew who came out and towed me home.

Not stripped the engine yet but lairy cams and 7000rpm failure is likely to be catastrophic.

It was only 500 degrees or so, piece of cake ;):D
I was hoping to get back out on track for the last 20mins, but the spare turbo had a tiny drip from the around the oil return fitting so i didn't wanna risk it

160bhp, jenveys, cams, pocketed pistons, racing puma gearbox with lightened flywheel :)

geeting all re-built, change of inlet cam so no need for pocketed pistons and verniers in the future :)

will need to be mapped again tho but when its all done should be around 160bhp again but 125lbs ft instead of 115 :)

your car that white ren 21 turbo (guess from your avatar) which i was behind for a while in the morning?...

Might have broken a sweat once..................waiting for an ice cream. ;)

Actually, had my first ever breakage on the motor! After market gear change paddle. :sad2: But I had the standard ones in the boot, so no bother. Good job as well, can't be bothered reaching down for a gearshift. Way too much work. :coffee:

Wish I was there to see the grand chair collapse Mart. Serves you right for making Christmas so expensive this year. :dearme: ;)
