giving up?!

i own three cars pre 1991 and i love them all but every time i go to drive them something breaks or a problem of somkind appears!!i hav owned these for many years and there all great, well looked after cars but recently im thinking more and more about selling them and buying something new or nearly new!!i dont really like modern cars (or the ones i do are outta my price range!!)so the question is what newish cars are out there that will put a smile on my face but b reliable ??(and maybe some track abuse)????thinking maybe new focus st or new scooby sti any other suggestions???

I read posts like this and wonder if I'm just lucky? I've owned my white 5 for the best part of 10 years, and it's never packed up, blown up, broken down, or had anything worth noting fail (excluding the driver :D ).

Maybe that's what's causing me to strip it, sell it, and buy something a bit different/more modern :scared:. Although I hope it's replacement doesn't break, as that'll cost a fair bit more than a "pocket change" Renault 5 to put right :laugh:

Im actually doing the same, selling the 5 and the other garage toys and looking at a Evo 6 :D

You think Renaults GTT go wrong and cost alot wait until you have to keep one of these on the road. I have owned a few now and they aren't cheap.

I have owned a Evo 5 and a Impreza while i have had my 5 and yes both cars are great a bit more refined ect due to being newer but like all cars items break only with these it tends to cost a lot more money, i would have another evo or impreza as i liked them both but still nothing can touch the raw feel of a Renault 5 gt turbo.

i hav had afew cossies and there pretty hard work 2!!iv got a scooby sti on a 2000 plate which is bombproof!was thinkin of getting a newer scoob or mayb an evo 6gsr of mabye sell everything iv got and get an m3!:D
