Anyone in the West Midlands area want to lower my torsion bar some more and shocks at the front?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but when pulling the torsion bar out, how do you clear the sill and cover? As i looked last night and i cant see how it squeezes past? Cheers
You don't need to pull them all the way out just enough for the splines to be out and then adjust height of arm and push back in once done 1 side then do the other side.

So from memory you think their is enough room for the splin to come out!? How do people get sliding hammers in their then? :confused: confused
I wouldn't use a slide hammer.
There was an article in PFC mag months ago on how to do it.;)
Im having trouble getting the torsion bar lowered in the midlands as well peeps, open to offers. :cool:

provided the bars are free , jack the whole rear up
put stuff under the wheels or trailing arms to keep them where
they are before removing the bars .
than lower the arms/wheels as much as you want to see raised .
than bang the bars back on .
there is a rough idea on you tube of the bar end with splines on coming out, rotating and sliding back in.
