Yes indeedy, you can run anything you like.

Can non-members go on track too?
Yes, so long as they are with a paying member.

Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but they'll need their own track-time ticket.

What is the track noise limit?
Mallory's rule is 98db and as standard this is usually measured 1m from the car. Last year there was no testing done but it is at your own risk if you enter an overly loud car. No refunds will be provided if the car is tested and fails.

Can I buy RTOC gear on the day?
Yes, there will be the usual garments/parts available. If you want anything special give Clee a PM here, and I'm sure he'll try and bring it along for you:

What's happening on the Sunday afterwards and can we stay to watch?
Yes you can, the "The Buildbase Mallory Trophy Championship Motorcycle Races Round 5" is on http://www.mallorypark.co.uk/Next_Event

Can I take passengers round?
Yes, but they must go to the club shop to sign an insurance indemnity form, pay £2 and claim their wristband.

ANY QUESTIONS?

What happens if I oversleep and miss the track briefing?

Whats the deal if i want to film from inside the car? Usually have to sign a form if I want to run my camera (Cadwell/Brands etc)

Its a fixed mount on the cage that nowhere else has had a problem with...is filming ok at mallory?

clee
12-08-2009, 11:28
If you miss the briefing then you will have to stand about for ages whilst we try and sort out a special briefing just for you and the other numbnuts ;) .......If you're camping then I can't really see how you could miss it .....
Don't miss the briefing !!!

No forms for filming as far as I know ......That ##### J Palmer doesn't own Mallory ....at least I don't think he does

"Can non-members go on track too?
Yes, so long as they are with a paying member."

What about if a non member comes with me and wants to drive the car i am paying Track time for? Is there a other driver charge like most track days or would he have to pay the full price ?

BriC
12-08-2009, 15:30
Tickets for track are for a person - not a car.. so yes, your friend would have to pay full wack.

:( thats harsh, 85 quid few laps ,he only wanted a taste , then to camp and drink beer with us lot :( oh well

clee
12-08-2009, 15:41
It's not harsh ...The reason it is only about £20 on a normal trackday for an extra driver is that the full price is around £150 ...

Robbo
12-08-2009, 15:42
are you sure they let bikes on at the same time? That cannot be right. that pizza delivery guy on his honda melody will get a right run for his money if he is on track the same time as me

paul b
12-08-2009, 15:42
its the same rules everywhere on that one.....

the driver signs on , so as to be included in indemnity insurance....

if you gave your band to someone, they crash and get hurt,,,,,it's your mum they call...as they will assume it's you...

if it was possible to do I'm sure we would....but that wouldn't be fair on all the rest who have paid up...

Robbo

What happens if I oversleep and miss the track briefing?

also if your late your gonna struggle to get your car on track once the action begins as the pits are on the inside of the circuit and theres no bridge or tunnel that will take a car. Dont think they will stop everyone whilst the latecomers cross to the centre of the circuit

Do passengers need tickets/sign on etd??

clee
12-08-2009, 18:36
:brickwall::brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

Right, that's out of my system ...

Yes Mr Big .
Passengers will need to sign their life away and purchase a wristband .This will be a couple of quid just to cover costs .

Bruce - BHPerformance

Do drivers that go out as a passenger need to sign a passenger indemnity or will their drivers indemnity cover it?

Passengers must sign a form too, before they get their wristband :)

I'll add all the info from these questions to the main post also.

Are the gates open to leave anytime in the night....

Last year miller locked the camp site gates on friday night at about 10.30pm for general security reasons, I got back about 11pm and had to leave my cab in the car park all night :( i was worried sick :D

Just another quick one regarding noise testing....how enforced was it last year?

D4WNO
13-08-2009, 10:20
Technically....it wasn't. Entering an overly-loud car though is at your own risk, no refunds will be given if they decide to randomly test anyone and the car fails.

Mallory's limit is 98db by the way :agree:

Tom bring both :D if you need I will get the train south and drive your beetle lol

Well my car is currently getting a new rack fitted / track ends / bush change on front wishbone and rear tie rod end and more tape to hold the clam together lol oh and another geo

After a brilliant Europe 3 week holiday some idiot reversed into me in Dijon bending the rack and cracking clam and a few other small things.

THEN as if my life does not challenge me enough my trear tie rod end snapped on the way to the garage and SO lucky it was at only 25mph on a wide roundabout when it went. Managaged to correct the drift :D could have been worse lol. That was 5 miles after all my mad 3500mile trip

So lets see what a quick rack feels like and hope nothing else blooody tests me :D also motorsport uprated rear links going in to be sure ;)

Will keep my HID's on so you know I am coming past on track :P:P:P lol
