probably just moisture built up over time, give it a few good hard runs, it'll probably clear :)

ive already gave it a fair few solid runs hoping it would clear up..but no..it hasnt:confused:

Is it pouring out ? presurising coolant ? if its only mild and not pressurising then I'm sure it'll clear ;)

i'd probably do a compression test and maybe check the torque on the headbolts m8:)

Did you have the head pressure tested?

Is the block face warped?

the exhaust is bound to be full of water, esp if you've not got it hot enough to evapourate, have ya tired runnin it with the downpipe disconnected to see if it still smokes ? also if its got a cat that will create steam too. think i needed a good blast to pod and bac for mine to sort itself out when mine had similar probs. regards the bleed screw, its a better setup if it has a pipe from that port to the header tank, like a gt's deguassin pot to header tank as it self bleeding so just drill it out and re-plumb. the temps seem about rite, they do warm up quick and want to run about 90 degrees. the compresssion readings are superb, i think i had one engine that was as low as 90psi and ran fine. if the system was pressurising, depending on how bad, but the cap will wanna blow off when ya unscrew it, same as a gt with a swollen top hose ! i have a spare complete head with turbo etc that a removed from the bottom end i have now, but i'm not convinced thats the problem. in short, get it booked in for mot in the afternoon and spend the mornin drivin round, your legally allowed to drive for parts, to and from a garage that does the work, and to the mot station, so technically ya covered :)

That all sounds good mate. What about the amount of smoke/steam you were getting out the back?

Looks well mate, it's quite cool :D Get the badges and that tow bar off the back end.

What's the interior like?

Trevhib

the interior is VERY clean, nice velour seats with heated fronts:smokin:

why would i want to take the badges off.? and the towbar..im kinda liking it for some reason:scratch:.

I just think it would look more of a Q car without them. Isn't the two bar detachable?

Glad you found the leak. Looks like you might be ok afterall? :) :agree:

hmm, would you debadge a gt turbo:sad2:

Well, no mate but then the GTT is an ace car that doesn't need messing with to be cool and doesn't need to shy away from its own branding (now it has semi-cult status).

An auto volvo 460 (esp with a tow bar and a faded 460 badge) has to be one of the most seriously uncool cars ever made and any little subtle things you can do to separate it from its peers all help, IMO. :wasntme:

Yeah shame about the bumper section, d'oh.

Just so you know, if this were manual g/box, I would have considered having it off you once you were done with it, as in black, with wheels and suspension, I think it's quite 'Q' as they say. :)
