ok ive checked the boards but wanna make sure i get correct info
ive got water in the header tank
fresh built engine been running ok with no problems
yesturday drove to cov and was running hotter then normal but not overheating
no smoke no lumpy running
arrived at location to find oil in header tank
so i tryed flushing some of the system and drove back and temp was perfect all the way home?
still has oil in water but runs fine, when i was flushing system i started car up after a cool down and smoked alittle and stopped ??
Split OE oil cooler if you have one or cracked head/turbo can be a cause.
Did you drop any oil into the waterways at all when rebuilding, maybe the heat is dispersing it now ?

using mocal oil cooler so thats ok
as for oil well i could hope its oil left in the block but i wanna make sure, but ive drove it to mot station and over to ians in wolvo which must have been a 30mile trip so i would have thought it would have come out before

if a turbo cracks would it smoke or not could it just mix oil and water in the turbo but still work
Ill stick my neck on the line & say cracked head. Try bypassing the turbo first though.
My van drove fine & coolant temps were ok even with cracked head.

 i asked the guy in gsf the same thing last wk when buying a full gasket set, he almost s**t himself.
if theres a crack in the turbos core water and oil will mix
try running ur turbo without water 2 eliminate this.
if its running ok now just keep running it but keep an eye on water temp and oil pressure.
Ive got a bare std 73.5mm cyliner head chemicly cleaned and blasted that i can bring 2 nday.

i tryed bypassing the turbo and then run it for a while but still had oil sitting in the header tank so i must be the head if i can not sort head before national day then may take you up on that head but would preffer to sort before and have it on the track
