View Full Version : selling cars on ebay
Just wondering how easy it is to sell a car on ebay. Do you get a lot of interest, and what are the costs like of doing it?

Depends on the car for the ammount of interest mate.
We tried selling my sister's Mondeo and loads of people watched it but nobody bought it.
It cost £10 to list it, and it was pretty straight forward.
ahh cheers man, what about final value fees etc?

I don't know the score with that as her car didn't sell in the end. I don't remember it saying anything about it when I was doing the listing, but I'm not the most observent at times

when i stuck the pulsar on ebay there was a hell of alot of interest, alot of time wasters offering stupid swaps etc etc
in the end it cost me roughly £15 to put it on ebay and it didnt sell, sold through the owners club tho
but depends on what car your selling and condition

my dad has just sold a 205 on there. When you list the car you state a reserve price which is the minimum your prepared to accept. His just scraped in!

It's as easy as selling that black carpet i won from you......which i will contact you about.
Car is 8 quid without reserve, 4 extra for reserve.....they take 20 quid commission once sold.
Ive sold about 100 cars on ebay, i should have learnt after the 1st one that its aggro.
Sometimes its a blessing, often awkward.......ending early is a good bet in my opinion.
ah sweet, cheers trojan, are you going to nats day, i can bring the carpet there if its going to help you out man.
that all sounds good then, trojan are you going to nats day ? i can bring it their if it helps you out.
