Coolant Temperatures !

Just want to know at what level of coolant temperatures should i be concerned ..... On a warm day like today and giving the car some heavy boost .... i am reaching just under the 3 rd line .... and then when backing off it sits between 2nd and 3rd line .... Are these normal operating temperatures ?????
