hi there all
can some one help me as i'm having problem's with my wide band.

all it's doing is showing (H ho) so i have done search and found a web site explain a few things. but it's not making much sense to me.

Other heater faults that are detected by WBo2 include :

H ho = heater not connected or sensor is open circuit

what does it mean sensor is open circuit?

does any one know where to get bosch w/b sensor. i have had a few quotes but they are between £80 from the usa or the cheapest in the uk has been £120. it seem's to be a bit high for a sensor. just seeing if any one knows somewhere that might be cheaper. before i order one.

Try any local motor factors, the company I work for can supply them, and a lot cheaper than £120 but dont do postage. Should do with something like that as they can sell. Got 1 in stock as well at our uxbridge branch. Only problem is most local to you is still 50 miles away in Salisbury.

Can you not buy a universal 5 wire sensor and connect the wires yourself ?

Graham goode motorsport were the cheapest place for the sensor the last time I bought one, at about 60 quid. Its the normal 5 wire wideband, same as the one that comes with the innovate kits that Graham goode sells.

If you are sure the wiring is good then yes, sounds like a duff sensor.

some of the vw golf 20v turbo engines run a bosch wideband.... just make sure its a 5 wire as stated above

factory fitted sensors are usually narrow band which are not as acurate as the wideband sensors

I'd say that most new cars are wideband now. I be surprized if they weren't?
