Just started to plan how im going to do it, ive removed the air vents and cut away any plastic that was in the way of the gauges.

Now im stuck, how does root their wiring to the engine bay? ive got boost gauge, oil pressure and lc1.

Im hoping to get the power supply form the clock but cant see how to get the wiring to the back of the vents.

Any help would be great thanks.

if u remove the speedo clocks you'll have a bit more access.u still have to drill a hole in the vent plenum for the wires to come through

In this last picture you can see (with a little imagination) that I drilled a hole through the firewall below the dash and behind the carpet. Then I ran the wires from the engine bay behind the center console to the area in the first pic.

And you can also use the cigarette lighter for power supply... and the steering column as ground :agree:

Thanks for the pictures great help. Used a hammer and chisel to make room for back of guages. Wired up 2 of the guages boost and oil pressure there both mechanical.

Now just the LC-1 which im not looking forward to.

Where am i best to go into a 12v source which is ignition switched?

For my gauges I took the feed from the cigarette lighter socket.

Thanks for the reply, is the cig lighter ignition switched?

Im going to tackle the wiring tommorrow.

Electrics have got to be one of the worst jobs on a car:cry:

There is definitely one part that is on the ignition as I use this for my voltmeter. There is also another feed which is linked to the lights which I used for the backlights.

You also have some feeds on the back of the digi clock that you can use

you can cut the wires and reconnect the lot using butt connectors

No it's optional... just follow the manual mate, it's quite straightforward stuff. I never connected anything electrical in my car before I connected those 3 gauges! I was actually quite surprised that they all worked when I turned the key  And as I said before: you can use 2 screws in the steering column to ground your gauges...

I got the wideband kit, which included the AFR gauge, from Innovate Motorsport. And I got he oil and water temp gauges, plus senders from Nordskog in the US. The AFR gauge in the Innovate wideband kit is also from Nordskog, so they are a good match ;)
