Is there a nack to opening these clips?

I've tried to opening the forks (if that's what you call them) that keep the pipe in place by twisting a screwdriver in between them and then pushing them out with another screw driver but it's impossible to do this on all of the clips due to their location.

I've gone for the 'yank it off' method which as you can see results in them snapping.

I can see it being a pain in the arse to replace the whole fitting... :scared:

You mean the ones that work in reverse yeah? So they push out. Makes sense, I think I might even have some of those.

Shall give it a go, thanks. :agree:

They go brittle with age mate, its always hit & miss if they break or not. If your replacing the pipes push a flathead screwdriver in & prise the clip open carefully.

I've tried that but can't quite get 'em out, persistence is the key I guess.

On another note, the MOT bloke said i'd have to remove the petrol tank to do the pipes but that doesn't seem to be the case. Looks like I might have to remove the exhaust though. :cartman:
