Does anyone know what tyre sizes are available on 16" wheels to give a similar circumference to the standard tyre?

16" tyres on a gtt are awkward to get the speedo reading correct.

Ideally, either a 195/35 or 205/35 16" would be the best you'll get, but not even sure if those tyre sizes are available. If they are, expect to pay a premium for a decent make.

205/40 is the more 'common' size, but the speedo is gonna be a good few % out.

Thanks mate, I had a quick look for 35 profiles and couldn't find anything ...

205/40/16 are 4.59% out ... I think that's what I have on at the moment.

Guess I'll stick with them for the time being :)

16s are the baddest ... 15s are for girls :cooter:

I had 195/40/16 on my old car. Continentals IIRC

Loads on the bay..http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQ_nkwZ195Q2f40Q2f16QQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR18QQ_ipg Z

Not sure what difference they make over the 205's though

Giles, you big (well, little) gay bear. I'm selling my badass, oldskool, OZ Polaris wheels, with very good Toyo T1-R's. Buy them :D

Billy, you willy, I don't want new wheels ... I just want to know what tyres I can put on mine once I eventually make them bald :)

Although, if you have a std set of alloys for not too much, I might even put my car on track!

I know you don't want new wheels. I'm just telling you to buy mine, as it would be cheaper than replacing just your tyres :D

No, no standard alloys for sale. However, T1R's are the lick on track, especially in 195/45/15 ;)

Nice try ... but I don't like them :p

Are T1R's better than slicks? ;)

What do you mean ... surely my spin will look cooler with slicks on?
