Hi guys and girls,

may be a silly question but it's more to put my mind at rest as it's the girlfriends car I'm talking about, had new discs and pads fitted on the front and noticed the outer side of the disc hasn't been making full contact with the pad, is this normal ie the bedding in period and will It gradually make full contact or is there something not quite right? It's both discs, never had new discs fitted so have no personal experience

cheers nick

Sorry I would but I'd probably have fitted another set of discs by the time I figure out how to do it.

it is normal...you'll have to drive a week or 2 to be fully bedded in.:)

Thanks guys, just wanted to check, thought it was but started to doubt so had to check otherwise I'd be worrying about it everytime she went out, I'll still be keeping an eye on it though:laugh:

are they cheap and cheerfull pads and discs ?? some pads dont go right up 2 the edge of the discs so you get a rusty line on the edges

Yes they are, from central auto supplies. Lock heed iirc

Expected more "coverage" but I'm sure it'll get better, can't see what's going on on the inner but they're still doing a better job the the old stuff that came off
