oil rising smells of petrol

hey guys my oil has rised over the max mark on the dipstick and the oil seams to smell of fuel and when i have the interior fans on it smell off fuel it runing like a v8 scoooby only if the made one any ideas what may be cause this thanks guys?

Ahh, you've edited your post :D

Oil rising + fuel smell usually means excessive ring blowby/high crankcase pressure. Time to check the breather circuit, or at worst, carry out a compression check.

Edit: The 'scooby' noise reference would sway me more towards carrying out a compression check. Prepare for a cylinder (or 2) to be down...
