where does the down pipe bracket bolt onto the exhaust? i havent got mine on at the mo. i think i should find it as it sounds a good idea to put it back onto me.

or is it not 100% essential? cheers

Left bolts to the inlet manifold and to the block to support it, middle connects to the gearbox using the bolts the starter uses (gearbox side, not starter. To bolt the heatshield to) and the final one goes down this side of the box as well but couldnt say exactly!

I would put the down pipe bracket on! Too much weight supported just by the turbo! It bolts in between the downpipe and the exhaust and uses one of the 13mm bolts under the starter

Which support bar do you mean?

As for the DP bracket, yes that's the right hole, leave the bracket loose so you can line the exhaust up. Your best not fitting the DP before lifting the engine in.
I find it easier to bolt the front 2 engine mounts to the car first, then lower the engine onto them, it's easier to line it up (jack under the sump). Fit the front steady afterwards as well, and the alternator
I'd also advise fitting a starter motor heatshield before refitting.
Looking good thou :)

you see in the last pick the y sha;)ped down pipe bracket . the bar in the first pick bolts to that and to the mainfold(inlet) somtimes there is a slightly longer stud sticking out from the mani

and the bracket on the right is part of the OE turbo bracketry that bolts it to the gearbox.
