I know K-Tec is a Tiger system... Tiger(Stainless Steel Exhaust Ltd) have a contract with K-Tec and will not sell to anybody else...

But good luck with the group boy, if the club can help out in anyway please feel free ton get in touch.

shop boy if i get enough interest i was going to ask if they could be brought through the club just so that people know its legit and im not running off with their money !

you'll be doing well to make it quieter than the K-Tec whilst keeping it straight through. I fitted a silencer 50% longer in the tunnel and it sounded the same, I then added a big fat silencer where the fuel tank is, and that sorted it. There just isn't space up front for a decent silencer.

I'd have thought there would be interest in a 2 1/2" rear exit that's 'quiet'. We'll see what happens at Mallory if they get the noise tester out.

get someone to bend pipes at cost effective price  powerflow ?

would be best to have some one with background to develope such exhaust and have one built after intial testing, for noise / power / and wow factor

i'd be intrested in a new one :) something i have toyed with the idea of also would be best to have down pipe as opition.

mr cooke just made a good point about 2 1/2 inch rear exit, there are no off the shelf ones yet there are tons of sideys around. i would deffo have a rear exit 2 1/2 and i know a few other locals would too.

I had a Tiger 2.5" rear exit system on my raider. It was apparently a one-off jobby at the time (this is going back a long while ago), but I'm led to believe they will fabricate them if you're prepared to pay.

You might be able to bag a batch of 5/10, say, if you get enough interest. Should imagine you could probably wangle a bit of a discount then as well.

Failing that, the only other off-the-shelf 2.5" rear exit system I know of is GT Tuning's jobby.

I've asked fabricators and they've all refused saying it'll knock or just won't fit. They were just not interested.

I however bought a custom made one from 5 Alive in Lewisham which I never fitter as I've the power flow sidey from K-Tec and didn't want to risk compromising the power. Label has come off so I can't tell who made it.

Haywood and Scott in Essex probably would probably make one / some though, but not cheap.

scorpian used to make a 2 inch, 2 1/4 inch and a 2 1/2 inch rear exit exhausts.
the problem is that when the tube goes over the top of the trailing arm area, there just isnt enough room, and it will knock....

I expect the 9.8mm lift in the spec isn't including clearance's ?

For me personally, that comes out too far forward on the 9/11. I'd want mine exiting further toward the back.

But im just a picky sod :)

Tiny if you make it longer to exit right infront of the rear wheel you can fit a "big fat silencer" right underneath the rear seat ;)

I did notice there was more room there, however... would it not just be easier to put a smaller one in the 'transmission' tunnel? Why on earth would I want a BIG FAT silencer?

my big fat silencer is in addition to the one I have in the transmission tunnel. That was the only way to make it sound like a car, not a tractor ;)

Mee too mate, she was a sturdy girl.

Sidey was a mish-mash. The main system was part of a 'Prima Scorpion grp A' racing system for the 21, the end pipe and silencer (which didnt actually silence it lol) was added at a later date by a mate at TopGear in St Albans (Powerflow).

Only just spotted this thread. Id be interested in a 2.5 rear exit system. As mentioned probably best to get powerflow to make one on a car, then they just copy a load up. Mandrel bent ofcourse, with a big join at the elbow, i have a bigger downpipe, ktec or similar jobby and its about 2.5inch, but then where it joins the scorpion the flange on the scorpion is pretty thin!

Anyone used ktecs 2.5 inch system?

tone deaf.....

i got a scorp 2.5 and your right, the inside dia is alot smaller, but.. on idle and off boost it isnt loud, i cant hear it with the window up,
but when boosting it does sound nice, used to be one around sevenoaks years ago and that had a power flow and it sounded terrible, just sounded like no exhaust

tho id like a bigger dia exhaust, would 3" be huge?:scared:

i swapped a gt tuning 2.5 inch for a 2.5 inch ktec sidey. its a different sound for sure. i wouldnt say it was over loud either, i havent decible tested it yet though.
Its not an unpleasant sound to be ripping around the streets with.
Just dont park next to anyones car you like and fire the car up..muwhahaha :smokin:

I made a full 3" rear exit that didn't knock, bit fiddly routing but certainly not impossible. Also made an experimental silencer for it that managed to make it louder!!! Binned that and just made it a sidey with a single box.
