If i was to chop the exhaust manifold up a little can you weld it to other metal or is the metal not suitable...??

Its cast so not ideal to weld non ferrous metals like steel to it. Having said that i managed to successfully weld a t3 flange to my old manifold which was fine!! Depends what you want to weld on and how much weight will be bearing on it. Id guess external wastegate mounting?

That will be fine. Just try and get the metal as clean as possible.
