Now this is worrying, the 5 is overheating it isnt losing water and has oil/pressure,
the fan is working.
but the battery warning light has come on and it stays on strange,
seems like this might be serious, what else should i be checking for?

have you chucked your alternator belt??? happened 2 me a few times and thats what happens....

I agree....also worth checking the water is circulating....undo header tank and rev the engine and you should see the water coming through the top of the header tank from the water pump.....check that and check your connections on your Alt too...

its had me b4 mate!!!! been stressing on the side of the rd looking for water leaks then ive noticed my belt hangin on the floor. :laugh: simple fix atleast it ent nothin major. :agree:

yea i was there panniking...thinking it was, something major come home and looked around for williams clio's, thought the 5 was dead :laugh:
