Now then, I was having a play around with the brakes on the 5 yesterday. Whilst I had them off I thought I'd have a look at the difference between the R5 discs and the 182 discs I've just skimmed!

It was quite interesting:

So the 182 brakes fit spot on, the calipers however are no where near, would need to make a bracket to hold them! Has anyone looked into this or is anyone aware of anyone who produces one?

I know some people run gtt calipers on bigger discs but it would be nice to run a big set of calipers on big discs!

can you not just bolt the complete 182 corner on?

The hub is totaly different, I haven't measured it up but looking it looks visably different, can take some pics if you want cos the 182's still in bits!

pics are always good. I've been on the lathe this morning modifying the hubs so that I can use studs - all part of the Laguna hybrid front end/kangoo rear disk mishmash :D

Its that top arm that bolts onto the strut that looks a lot different to me, its a lot longer and comes off at a different angle!

gotta be worth a go :D Does the bottom ball joint still use a pinch bolt?

whilst you're there, and you measure the diameter of the A/R bar, I never did find out what they are.
