ive just measured a head here from a Renault 5 GT Turbo. Its 73mm. Is that ok ? I mean can i sell it or is it for the bin?

Is this the head you were measuring before with a tape measure?

Yeah it's still good to sell, at 73mm there I'd plenty of meat left on it. But better for someone running standardish boost . Or someone who knows what there doing and want a high comp engine.

mine is less than min height, with silly boost, and still ok!??!?

Has your timing sensor been moved on the gearbox by any chance?

My head is 72.5mm, I run 20psi manifold, std ignition timing, chargecooler and a vnt and ive never had any problems with det or head gaskets, if it helps anyone

First post!

Could i use the standard c3j head and pistons on my camparse c3j if i use the twin head gasket set up? and can you get solid copper head gaskets and are they the way to go? i dont understand why your not meant to use c3j heads with thicker gaskets.
