rite i have just won my clio16v dash tonight on ebay and now im wanting some guages to fill the extra space. i already have a boost guage but also wanting water temp ( as the clio dash wont work) oil pressure and a afr. but want to know if im betters getting electric or mechanical items for the gtt engine?
Also back to the old topic of AFR choice. i have tried to get my head around all the posts in the last 6 months or so and instead got lost up my own backside near enough! i need a step by step guide to them if possible please. i know there is one i don't want to be using for the gtt engine.
cheers for any advice
Water temp-Electrical
Oil pressure-Mechanical
AFR- Innovate LM1 (it's a brick but mount it too the dash anyway) better than an lc1 'cos you can log readings and view them later.
AFR readings on gtt engine- best measured- 4th gear, 2000rpm, easy on throttle upto full boost and full throttle by 4000rpm, here they should be 12.2-12.5 for everyday driving. Over 12.5 is too lean. For track use/hard driving aim to be richer- 11.7-12.0, much below 11.5 is too rich.
They should hold steady at this reading all the way through to the red line. If it starts to go lean back off the throttle, then your in a world of micro drill bits and soldering irons............;)

cool, had a look at innovates website tonight and the nice little vid for the lm2 on there :) looking at the lm1 the screen dosen't seem to be that big to see whats on it. can this also be linked to a guage so i just quickly glance at it every now and again or are they fine to see when fitted? is there anyone who lives in the cumbria area who has on fitted at all?
