OK I have recently gone back to C1J and and am attempting to put my wiring loom back into the 5 but my 5 didn't have the original connection of death in place :crap: the wires are all over the place and I am unable to tell what is what apart from the colours, now I have sorted the engine part of the loom and labelled everything up, my problem is the other side the engine loom normally connects to in the connection of the death. What is the best way to work out what wires control the oil level sensor and the oil pressure sender??

Cheers james

Cheers matey, I have managed to source my Haynes guide online and downloaded the wiring diagram section.

21 = Oil Pressure Switch
209 - Engine oil Level sensor

What about the 2nd wire on the oil pressure as the haynes only shows 1 connection for orange(The bulbas bit on the bottom of the oil feed pipe to turbo, I assume the pressure sensor is the bit on the side of the feed)??

Would I would like to know is where junction block 433 is located??? is it down by the passenger footwell? (If this jucntion is intact i should be able to sort it out properly).

Copy Green Haynes wiring guide attached

The green haynes does not have the wiring diagrams for the gt turbo, you need the blue haynes with diagram 20 and 21 for the gtt, or print them off the files section-

http://www.rtoc.org/files/?path=Technical%20Files/Wiring%20diagrams/

btw, the junction block in the passenger footwell is 81, dunno where 433 is, sorry.

Cheers matey  I uploaded the missing pages pics when I saved them from the old site I should have remebered.

I assume junction block 80 is the connection of death:agree: I need to find out where 433 is located anyone?

Yes and No a question was answered within that yes, But I do not have the engine block Junction 80:crap: (from that I managed to make up an engine loom) but as per this thread I need to find junction block 433 in order for me to create and make up a the other side of junction block 80 as I have about 3 orange wires, and 2 brown the others I have sorted just these but i need to trace back to junction 433

So the question is now where is junction 433

Hi james according to my haynes coonector block 433 is located "junction LH front and dashboard harness.

As for the wiring for number 21 oil pressure switch both wires goes to connector block 80 (connector death) at pin B3 and pin B8.

Do u need anything else mate? Chris

Chris that's perfect matey, I will have a look tonight printed of the haynes guide so will have a look at trying to locate junction 433 so I can then build a junction 80:laugh:

Have a look here mate http://www.rtoc.org/files/?path=Technical Files/Chris Hebden/

I have put together a quick Excel spreadsheet showing the wire colour and size for the side you need mate. A1 is A1 connector etc etc etc

Hi matey,
That link doesn't work, but I think I have sorted it all out now was easier just using the continunity meter from the back of the clock to the wires in the engine bay to work out what they where and the Haynes to show what colour wire does what on the clocks.

many thanks for all your help:cooter::agree:
