I doubt anyones going to have R5 window shaped perspex cut to size off the shelf.

you could always buy a sheet of perspex and cut it to size using your old glass as a stencil? it'd probably be much cheaper too.

On this subject, whats the law regarding these? like road use/insurance?

As long as you retain the front windscreen, I believe you can fit side & rear perspex screens.

Doesn't the new R26-R Megane have perspex (or is it polycarbonate?) windows fitted as standard?

This is the answer that i got : We have asked a number of MOT stations whether Perspex windows are road legal and the answer has been “yes” as long as they are not solidly fixed, or if they are that they have an opening aperture in them.

As most of the rally cars in the UK have to have a valid MOT certificate, the argument would be the fact that there are thousands of cars fitted with Perspex windows that are road legal in the UK.

i was told by rac windscreens that they couldn't fit perspex windows in place of the front or rear glass by law but side windows are acceptable. i'd imagine it would be polycarbonate windows as perspex is too brittle and is damaged by sun light
