trying to set up

well she now runs again...at last.

Im trying to get her to tick over on her own now. the only way i can get her to do this is by leaving the choke on and she will be ticking over at about 2k rpm. as soon as i push the choke in she starts to cough and splutter and die.

can anyone advise me the best way to get her set up so she will tick over on her own??

i have read the section in the haynes, but just wondered if there was a quicker way...

Check there is no air leaks on vac pipes, clean out idle jet on side of carb, check the restrictor is in the T-piece and you should be good for idle. ;)
