I believe i have a piper 300 cam and springs but i want to identify it first to check. how do i go about doing this, there are markings on the end but as present im at work and cannot remember what the markings are.

It'll have BP300 stamped in the end if it's a real piper one.

piper used to produce a Grp A cam, as i fitted one to a guys car once. - i got away with standard valve springs, so check that yours are uprated - i.e NOT RED in colour.

yea the cam isnt in a car its simply in a box, it has springs with it that are silver in colour.

This cam sounds like its possibly the grp A cam then.
