hi guys im new to the site, and have only just got my first 5.
Its a Raider that well hadnt be loved and ruined slighty but all will be straight with it soon.

So my plans are to get the car looking lovely and clean again on the outside, car will be slightly lowered, and the engine is going to be tuned for abit of extra power.

Engine bay was very dirty so been degreased and pressure washed out

Engine has now mainly been stripped down.
Currently trying to sort out what spec engine should be built to for around 180bhp.
But alot of work to go and alot of money :D speaking to painter soon for a respray.

cheers for all the input guys alot of work has gone on since last lot of photos.

now got a new (unraped) boot lid car is going to be having a full respray plan is to have it very clean and standard looking but just a few goodies under the bonnet. Will also be sourcing standard parts so if i ever do want to sell it will be completey standard when for sale :D

if i can get my camera lead tonight i will post up some more pics of work thats been done.

and as for the stupid exhaust system has been ditched and binned, and ive got a k-tec 2 1/2 inch system coming (rear exiting)

wiring for the fan on heater is terrible so replacing that, stripped out the gamma alarm fitted (replacing with cat 1 alarm at later date)

striped down to the bare bones of the shell everything is going to be rehit with colour :D

The shells panels are now all straight ready for paint. We are going to underseal all the inner wings, side sills and inner archs.

once the shell is painted will then be refitting engine and box and all the interior, while i refit all that lot the painter is going to straighten and paint all other remaining panels doors, boot, bonnet etc and once already they will all be bolted back on the car. doing it this way around so i dont mark any of the wings etc when refitting engine.

thats all for now hopefully more of an update next week with the car painted ;)

UPDATE.
Been ill last few days but finaly been able to get my lazy arse out of bed and go see how its going on the 5.
As stated previously the car is in primer got pics now to follow, and today painter has been rubbing the whole car down by hand ready for paint tomorrow.

Right soo thats the shell done as you can see in the inner wings we have undersealed for protection agaisnt rust etc same along the sills and inner arches.
So with that being ready for me too see as a nice treat today around 1pm me and my mate the painter aka John thought we would start to put some of the insides back in, wiring looms, pedals, soundeading and dash.
BUT instead we put all this and more in!! all interior is now in apart from the drivers seat and the bits in the rear that hold parcel shelf up, last little jobs to do Monday night before the engine goes back in.
Providing the engine goes in all as planned on Monday evening then i will be fitting the coilovers and what ever else i can get my hands on to fit.
Rest of the panels just need to be finished off prep work and hit with colour painter wants it completed by the end of the week now :D

Hi all its been a long time!!!

Update for the 5 :(

Spent alot longer than i wanted in the paint shop and has been sitting in storage for along time!

In all honestly after all the money ive spent and i have lost interest in the project and have bought a house since which is much more of a project than anything else.

As some of you can see from the pictures of my car i have spent alot! brand new gen renault doors, bonnet, bumpers and loads of other parts.

Im looking to gauge interest in breaking the 5 for parts and selling everything ive got for it and ditching the project.

its not that ive lost interest...just havnt got time at the mo.or forseeable future to fibish her off....im f in gutted but cant stash her up anymore where its being kept....im.after sensible offers for the whole car...needs a turbo....hubs...driveshafts..gear selector rod to finish....car is nearly complete as engine an interior is bk in.etc.....

hello neil....i know im gutted dude..:-( but reality bites in life atvtimes an this is definately one of them moments....im.deffo keeping other one as markey marks just fitted my new bottom end with new cam...v pulley....pistons....liners etc so im looking to gobto as many rtoc meets ...aswell as sort out a kent meet ;-)
