I want to log my charge temps when i get around to logging my AFR's. I have a SPA digital (dual) gauge with a K series probe.

I have spoken to Scoff about this and we came up with the idea of piggy backing the signal that comes out of a control box and goes to the gauge.

Today i cut the outer cable protector around the wire and found the wires pictured below, which one do people think i should use?

I can try and get a multimeter on the wires tomorrow i just wanted to get peoples opinions first.

I havent removed the foil around the covered wire, i dont know whats under that one yet!

That cable is the same type as used on the electric speedo pickup and any VR sensor come to mention it. The exposed wire is just the shield earth. The wire you want will be inside the foil shield.

yes, get probing with your multimeter :) your looking for a voltage that swings proportionally to the meter reading. Assuming it's an analogue signal that is!! fingers crossed it isn't some serial data malarky.
