waterpump outlet

can anyone tell me what the outlet next to the temp sensor is used for on the water pump?im hopeing it goes to carb base as i want to mount another temp sensor there

The outlet goes to carb base or inlet, can't remember which off the top of my head.

Im sure i seen a pump that had this blanked off, could have been on a lower spec c series lump.
