View Full Version : R11 Master Cylinder - same as GT Turbo?

First post!

Can anyone answer if the R11T master cylinder the same as a GT Turbo? Got a feeling it isn't but I haven't got a 5 here to compare against..

I hae R11T cylinder new in the box (77 01 349 254), genuine part & new in the box.

If it doesn't fit a 5 I won't be needing it so if an 11 owner would like it just drop me a PM, yours for the postage..

My 11's got a 5gtt unit fitted

it's not a straight fit but it can be made to fit ;)

it makes a funny noise that starts and stops as it pleases weather braking on not , dose it when idleing along and when slowing down. dosent do it when the revs are up or accelerating.

ermmm i will be honest with you mate ,i sold my very last working crystal ball
on ebay the other week :crap: so you really need to be a bit more specific .

where exactly is the noise coming from ? is it rubbing ,clunking ,metal to metal
contact etc ??
you say it does it when idleing , why not open the bonnet and have a look
to see where its coming from :rolleyes:
oh and what car is it ??

high pitched farting noise. sorry dosnt do it at stand still when ideling in motion.
going to start a thread regarding this issue later in the week when i have had a good look and sorted a few other issues out. :smokin: cheers any way mate

is there a weird smell followed by the noise ??
shoot or kick out all fat farty birds out the back/front seat and
see if it does it again :laugh:
