View Full Version : Twingo GT hybrid
Has anyone thought of putting a C1j into the old twingos and chasing the 1/4 mile times?
i would of thought the engine should fit and the shell would weigh less than a campus R5.
plus left hand drive, would the driver weight being over the gearbox side not help with traction? or am i talking bo((ox! :smokin:

Been done before mate years ago, remember it being a green Twingo and being featured in a mag some years ago. It'll come back to me when and who done it.

surely with the guys expertie these days with the engine and nitrous, this little car could be hitting low 11s maybe 10s with a power c1j in it?

It may do mate, i'm not exactly sure how much a Twingo weights as that will play a big part in it. To be absolutely honest i can't see it being that much more lighter then a 5 so then power to weight ratio wouldn't be any different.
I do remember reading in the feature of the turbo'd twingo that space was a problem but when there's a will there's a way.
I'll try find it and see what went into it.

I'd say that the twingo is heavier than the 5, but the swap you're thinking of would be simple to do.
