doe it have one???wheres it located?? im trying to eliminate my cars thurs 4 electricity. the car over 3500 revs on bumps or sharp acceloration flashes battery light for few secs.


i am replacing belt on alternator, tightening connections on top of alternator and going to try new earth strap before i take the expensive trip 2 autoelectricians

not sure exactly what you mean, but have you checked to see if you alternator is charging sufficiantly.

an earthing point from the engine????? does it have one??? alternator charges battery when im there next 2 it with metre yep jus not over 3500 revs when driving.

im hoping it is my belt slipping as it started after i valeted engine bay after setting fire to the standard renault heat sheild @ donny lol

Should be on the rear lifting eye to bulk head, up top by vin plate

behind the water pump to the bulk head, you will see it if you look above the servo itll be right there

Fit another one anyway. Halfords sell a good lead for a few quid

Its loosing its 12v to the alternator sense wire! Get somebody to wiggle to loom from the T£"T block below the expansion bottle across the front of the car to the alternator and watch the battery light. Just going to be a crap connection or a broken wire.

Does anybody have any pictures to show where the earth straps are, ive just took my engine out, im sure i only had one going from gearbox to passenger side of the inner wing. I had weird electrical faults on my car:cry::crap:
