im so tempted james....sometimes i wish i had just sorted out my old black 5 instead of buying other cars and letting that one rot away on the drive...still maybe i might treat myself with the money ive saved since i quit smoking

they wernt intrested in it as it was no value to them once you and logg stripped it so it was scrapped instead...although they took the copy of the v5 when they turned up with the flatbed to take it away....they said that it didnt resemble the 5 they had seen 3 months earlier,so they couldnt auction it of as it was just a shell with crap in it

Can completely empathise matey. I sold my last GTT and bought a Phase Quick (;) winds up those that know!) Clio 172. Not as much fun as the 5 but suited what i wanted at the time - comfort, reliability, air con blah blah.

About 4 weeks ago i got the 'itch' for another 5 and weighed up the cost of having one as a weekend car. Fully comp classic insurance with limited mileage was a couple of hundred quid spread over 9 monthly installments. Road tax for the year is £120. Petrol is nominal given the lack of miles. So that was it, decision made ;) Now i can scratch that itch whenever i want without it whacking my wallet. Ok, the cost of the car was high (my choice) but that money wasnt exactly making me a fortune in the building society given the rubbish economy right now. So, i see it as a sensible investment too! If you have somewhere to keep it, do it :)
