Is a larger downpipe a worthwhile mod?? I've got one in my garage, but I've only got a standard elbow, so with the restricted elbow size would that render the larger down pipe pointless? :confused:

No, but getting an enlarged elbow would make a bigger difference.... And when I say englared elbow, I don't mean one of those dog turds K-tec sell.

So I just take along a standard elbow and my bigger down pipe and tell them to make something similar in the correct size? How much would I be looking at. Longlife exhausts in wallington would probably be able to fabricate something. :study:

Pretty much, I supplied the v-band and downpipe in the picture, along with the 5 bolt flange for the .64 housing. My elbow is a little larger than most people's, at 3 inches, aswell.

I'm not sure on cost, but it wouldn't be a £50 job

If you're really after one, why not try jumping on the group buy, if not a bit late...

In lamens terms, that turbo i've got is pretty big, and the elbow alone took nearly 500rpm off the spool up.

am looking at geting a downpipe made up, where do you get the t25 flanges from? and the bit to join the exhuast at the bottom of the downpipe?

Didnt think thered be that much. And that will deffinatley fit my t2/t25? Got a t25 .47 rear housing, and it mates upto original elbow fine?

Then 2nd part of question, what about where it joins the downpipe, the circular join, where could i get an enlarged one of those? so it will mount upto a 2.5inch system ok
