rad fan question.

Another 5 virgin question that will have been done to death but I wanted to check all was ok. Just started for its weekly battery too up etc and although it got hot the rad fan did not kick in. Temp gauge up to just before the third mark, idle at about 12k oil about four and a half, perc fan has just turned off. When does the fan kick in?

hope you mean idle at 1200 not 12000 lol and if standard rad thermo it should be about 3rd line i got low temp one so its cuts in half way :)

Thanks for that, no access to pc today so search is a pain on the phone. Was convinced it should be second mark. No back to cleaning it.
