Schak,

Are these the later versions that Renault used to resolve snapping clutch cables and if so, is the ratchet your selling compatable with the earlier pedal?

hi mate , i have just been notified of a fitment problem with the part marked red
on the picture hence stopped selling the pedal kits until i find out whats going on .

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h241/renaultparts/7d2b_1.jpg

apparently on some pedals the mounting holes on the marked bit dont line up
with the holes in the pedal , having said that , a few members bought these kits from me in the past and have all reported good stuff which makes me think there might be 2 versions of the clutch pedal ,now you also mentioned .

can you give me more info on this earlier pedal as to whats different
compared to new one pls??

Sorry mate, I forgot all about this thread. I think the problem was a recall by Renault because clutch cables were snapping a lot. I snapped 4 in a year before taking my car off the road.

As far as i'm aware Renault redesigned the 'Pedal Assembly' and retro fitted to recalled cars. I'm not sure if the original and redesigned types are the same part number or if when you order from Renault it flags up the superceded part?

I think Paul B will be the guy to ask.....

Sorry I can't be more helpful.:crap:

oK, AS Woz pointed out, all the original clutch pedals and cables were modified to a longer unit, longer quadrant travel and longer cable....this was the answer to "ease" the sharp bend as the cable entered the car....

the revised pedals have a longer quadrant section, now the answer as to if you have a standard or modified pedal will take me some digging up...but i'll try...

part numbers if this helps anyone....
5/9/11/19 pedal 7701467632 modified.
5 cable 6006003790 modified...

19 cable no ABS 7700832533 modified
19 cable ABS 7700811015 modified.

twingo's have varied set ups...not all have this type of quadrant fitted.

if you try and order ANY original part number, the system does indeed ONLY supply the new numbers above for the modified parts...

SO, leaves us to say the kit above needs to be checked against a new pedal kit, the 7701467632 .....has anyone got one on the shelf or have one handy they know was supplied under this number..??????

That looks like some other clutch pedal from some other car.

Here's a 5GTT one: http://old.rtoc.org/articles/i/autofolder/EDLKTWHBFFEDILGSCPNV.jpg

"Clip on chassis leg 7703079259 is the little horseshoe clip that goes into the n/s chassis leg that the cables clips into to guide it."

Is this the sometimes non fitting arrowed part in Schakals photo?
