Hi all ive got a front mount and outlets are 2 1/4" (57mm).
Im after knowing what pipes / hoses i would need to hook it up , there was a list on here on another thread but i cant find it .
As the outlets are 2 1/4" do the connecting pipes need to be the same size or bigger ?

cheers all - Dan

everythin on mine is 57mm joiners & silicone hoses apart from the end that goes on2 the turbo.... think thats slightly smaller if i remember rightly dan. 57 in2 51mm i think. :agree:

i used:

2x57mm 90 degree bends
1x57mm-51mm reducer 90 degree bend
2x57mm hard pipes
1x57mm silicone joiner 2 join on2 the carb elbow.

that was 4 my grill mount, dunno if that helps at all. :agree:

I have copied this of Jure's thread which is the same list of parts i got for my front mount intercooler which i am fitting tomorrow

I will start in direction TURBO - IC - CARB.

Turbo outlet...

1. 90 deg. 50mm hose
2. straight aluminium pipe (8-10cm)
3. 90 deg. 50mm hose
4. straight aluminium pipe (8-10cm)
5. 90 deg. 50mm hose
6. straight aluminium pipe (8-10cm)
7. 90 deg. 60mm to 50mm hose

...we reached IC inlet...IC...IC outlet...

8. 90 deg. 60mm to 50mm hose
9. straight aluminium pipe (8-10cm)
10. 90 deg. 50mm hose
11. straight aluminium pipe (20-25cm)
12. 90 deg. 50mm hose
13. straight aluminium pipe (8-10cm) or aluminium "T" piece for fitting dump valve
14. straight 50mm hose

...and we are on our final destination - carb! Happy boosting :D

To summarize and give approx prices:

5x 90 deg. 50mm silicon hose (5x12.00)
5x straight aluminium pipe - short (5x6.00)
2x 90 deg. 60mm to 50mm silicon hose (2x20.00)
1x straight 50mm silicone hose (1x4.00)
1x straight aluminium pipe - long (1x8.00)
16x hose clips/clamps 45mm to 65mm (16x1.50)

I bought my silicone hoses from a place called Auto Performance silicone hoses of ebay from what i can remember i paid about £200 - £250 for everything in the list above an £70 for a universal intercooler

hope this helps

My intercooler is 57mm, but i have a reducer straight off it to 51mm, then all the rest of the pipework is 51mm, makes it abit easier in tight spaces like coming over the alternator and that.

I did it with...
5x90deg bend 51mm
2x45deg bend 51mm
2x 57mm to 51mm reducers
and abit of straight 51mm silicone/pipe to join it up
