View Full Version : paypal quicky
just a quicky,
as paypal take a certain amount from you for receiving a payment:disagree: could someone tell me how much i should ask someone to send me for me to receive £100 after the paypal deduction
If they have a paypal balance and/or bank account linked then they can send it as a personal gift and no charges whatsoever .

the sender can click on pay fees so you recieve the full 100 sheets
3.4% generally for uk to uk accounts. I get funds from europe quite often and they seem to charge a lot more than that
re the personal gift option, I tried that *once* for 6.70 and paypal shut my business account down because they suspected fraudulent activity. That was 3 months ago, it's still suspended with a lot of money tied up in it. I hate paypal. If it's a trusted party maybe you could use bank transfer, its FOC.
ok thanks, so if i ask for say £104 then i should clear the full £100.? i dont want to risk the "send as gift" option.
I use the gift option for certain things ,never had a problem to send or receive .

nor me. if i have to send money, say buying from ebay but like made a offer etc, i deliberatly put gift,
only prob if they dont send the item you aint got a leg to stand on! no buyer protection, so be carefull :agree:
I've moved largish amounts but only for people I trust 100% .
A mate in France has just bought an engine near me so I'm paying the guy and he's dropping it off here .My mate has PPd some dosh to cover .
This would be a legitimate gift transaction ......
