lsd final drive fitting?

hi all,

Am i right in thinking the final drive is pressed/heat shrunk on to the end of the diff? Or is it a bolt on type ? gearbox is a 172 jb3 type.

gripper lsd are bolted on thats whats on my 182 box but on my old 5 box it was welded on to the crown wheel:)
