First post!

I've been the proud owner of my Phase 2 GT Turbo for the last 5 years. Spent thousands over the years (as I'm sure a lot of peeps have on here), but each penny has been rewarded with plenty of grins. :D

My GT Turbo has been off the road for the last 18 months while I was tinkering with my 200sx S13, but now it's time to bring it back.....

Here she is:

Mug shot of me with it :D:

Unfortunately, it's developed a bit of surface rust in a couple of areas, so I'm looking to get it into a garage to get it all sorted out. I was considering a full respray, but the cash situation isn't good so it'll be rust treated and then more than likely it'll be taken to my work where I'll wrap the whole thing in a Gun Metal grey vinyl (something I do as part of my job). It's a short-term solution.... getting shot of the rust is the main thing.

Also going for a new engine build. The engine was built and tuned by K-tec previously....... think it's just time to service the bottom-end. When I get a chance I'll update my profile with all the mods.

Anyway, enough rambling from me!! :o:D Look forward to getting know like-minded peeps on here. :)

It would depend on the color and grade of material. You'd be better buying direct from a supplier such as Spandex (cheaper).

Yeah, you could be right. :) The only hurdle to overcome is traveling and where to do it... also, ideally (for best results), it's better to have a second helper to hand who kinda knows what he/she's doing.....

....still, it wouldn't stop me from giving it a shot if we did find somewhere inside to do it. I could probably use my work at the weekend, but it would depend on how nice my boss is feeling. :D

Loving the club already... loads of info that has already saved me quite a bit of money. :agree::agree:

Welcome to the club fella :agree:

Agreed with the lads in that you could defo trouser some extra moolah by offering out a wrapping service for rtoc motors.

One of the guys on here (TK) recently had his Porker wrapped white, and I was well impressed with the finish on that, that much so that at first glance I thought he had had the shell resprayed! :D

Anyway, enjoy your stay on here, and pencil in ya diary the 15th August for rtoc's National Day @ Mallory Park :cool:

Cheers Mart.

Yeah, you can get a really good finish with wrapping. We recently did a M3 CSL in orange and even stood next to it you wouldn't tell is was one giant sticker. :D

I'll definitely take it on board about offering wrapping for folks here. I could do with the money tbh, just need to make sure it's all do-able. :)

That wouldn't be the same CSL that has 'M3 CSL' wording along the side in the GT3 RS font/style?

Nice. Seen that a few times at the 'Ring, and was also at Spa trackday the other week. The colour certainly turned a few heads!

Big Supes
23-05-2009, 12:21
Certainly does.

Also, another thing on that car is that we covered the roof or bonnet (can't remember) in a 'carbon pattern' print. The car comes standard those in carbon, but the owner had them sprayed.... then decided he wanted it to look carbon again.... so.... wallah. :D

Find out if you can wangle using your bosses place one weekend & i reckon you'll deffo make a few quid wrapping some Renaults!! :niceone:

I'm sure we'd find a way to get down to Southampton for the day! ;)

I don't think you'd get more than one car a day finished (doing a decent job).

A R5GTT would definitely be quicker than a Clio though.

Dudes... for those interested in vehicle wraps, I spoke to one of the guys at work today and he said he'd be up for wrapping some cars with me in our spare time. Just need to speak to the boss man once people have decided what they want and have been given prices etc...
