I need a Main Jet part no. I gave renault in Durham an old part number and they don't have the wit to find a new one.
Does anybody know it? I think I gave them the number from Ian S article

:)

I'm having a nightmare with Renault in the North East. I have tried Durham and Houghton Reanult Parts and just get a load of b/s about not being able to get them or when I mention
0853 996 428 - Main jet (1.20mm) part number I get the ohhhh definately not Renault part.

Sick of getting my bum tickled here....

I emailed Southern carbs and they only have 1.3 jets in:crap:

Anyone got any they can sell or get some for me?
If not i'll have to go down and open up a can of whoop ass but its a pain to get down there.

I have a large selection of different main jets, I will put them in my bag and bring them to Santa Pod if that helps.

I'll see how James gets on and let you know. I'm sure one of the North East lads can pick one for me at Pod :agree:

Doesn't work too good as it affects the flow pattern through the orifice. Also no good when the solder breaks loose and ends up in your carb!:D

George i would hammer renault and speak with the manager. They are doing this more and more now and its mainly down to lazyness.

Well I rang back the Renault dealer and spoke to the muppet again who stated that "the system does no go back that far". I told him to get his ass to the computer and put the number in...after a kerfuffle he rang the dealers parts supplier and then he got back to me and now reckons he can order them around £2.09 each but could take a month.
Partial success.
